What To Expect During The Treatment
Prior to the treatment, your provider will cleanse the treatment area and apply a topical numbing agent (if requested). Depending on how large the treatment area is, the length of the treatment will vary. Microchanneling is generally quick and virtually painless - in most cases, it will take less than twenty minutes.
How Many Treatments Are Needed?
The amount of initial treatments needed will vary on a case-by-case basis, but typically 3-4 series are suggested to treat most hair loss. Initial treatments are spaced 2 weeks apart. Once your initial series are complete, it's recommended to return for one single treatment every 13 to 18 weeks to preserve your new hair growth.
What Is The Aftercare And Downtime Like?
Following your stem cell treatment, you might see some redness or slight swelling on the affected area of the scalp. This is typical.
There may also be a small amount of discomfort following the procedure
- which is usually described as equivalent to the feeling of a mild sunburn.
Stay out of direct sunlight, no swimming, sauna, or steam room for 7 days post treatment.
